Heart Sharing Circle - April

  • Papanui Spiritual Centre 150 Harewood Road Christchurch, Canterbury, 8053 New Zealand (map)

Struggling with your body image?

I hear on a regular basis from people that they are unhappy about their body in some way. They’re either too fat or too skinny. Or they don’t like their nose, belly, bum, breasts, legs, skin, hair, … I think we are all too aware of what a negative body image looks like and the impacts of it, but how about a positive body image and the impacts of that. Each of us has encountered unique struggles, whether it be societal pressures, self-doubt, or internal conflicts. Let’s have an open and healing sharing about where we are at with our body image, and where we would like to be. We will use a process called ‘heart sharing’ to facilitate this exploration.

Heart Sharing aims to facilitate growth, change and connection. It’s a gathering of people desiring personal growth who share from the heart. There is a talking stick/object in the middle of the circle and one person takes the stick and shares what is going on with them with the intention of moving through it. Everyone else stays quiet. It’s amazing to see what happens when powerful people witness another’s struggle or triumph.

Important Note: You do not need to share details, as connecting with the effect an event is having on you is the best way to clear it.

Cost: $10 to cover costs.
Venue: Papanui Spiritual Centre, 150 Harewood Road, Christchurch.

For more information or to discuss the event, please contact Amanda on 021 024 96500 or amandacartridge111@gmail.com.

Meet Your Facilitators!

Hi. I'm Amanda.

I've been involved with personal growth since I was in my 20's. I have trained in many different modalities and used them all for my own personal growth. I discovered heart sharing about 10 years ago and have been a regular participant and convenor of groups since. Some of my biggest breakthroughs have come through the heart sharing process with the support and sometimes challenge from loving and caring participants.

Hi. I'm Jenny.

I've been involved with heart sharing for approximately 2 years. I find it's a great way to look deep within and to process what needs to be worked through. Being witnessed in a safe and supportive environment is extremely powerful. Holding space for someone as they work through a process is just as powerful.

Navigating past trauma isn't always easy but in a heart sharing circle being held with support and love can give you the strength you need to move through the process

I love Heart Sharing and have had great growth and understanding from these experiences.
